FASWVA is proud to stand with you and provide a bridge to stability for those going through tough times. Please give what you can to help us support our neighbors in need.

The Face of Hunger
More than 1 in 8 people in our region are at risk of missing a meal on any given day. Many have to choose between feeding their family, paying for housing, buying gas or filling a prescription. By giving, you make a choice to stand up for the 154,000 Southwest Virginians at risk of hunger.
Here’s a snapshot of the people FASWVA serves:
Children: 1 in 5 kids face hunger in our community. Children who suffer from hunger can experience lasting learning and developmental consequences.
Working Families: FASWVA provides food for over 143,000 people every month. Having a job is no guarantee a family is safe from hunger.
Seniors: Many seniors have to choose between paying for food and prescriptions or medical care. 10% of our clients are seniors.
Work We’re Proud Of
FASWVA provided 16.6 million meals last year, thanks to supporters like you. By working together with food manufacturers, distributors, and retailers to procure food, we work to close the meal gap. But there is still so much more to do.
To distribute the food we receive, we rely on a network of 373 partner programs. Every day, we strive to work more efficiently; 97% of donations to FASWVA go directly to food aid.
